The Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG) in South-Eastern Europe Europe, within the project “Rural development through integrated forest and water resources management in Southeast Europe: Rural perspectives: qualification, reintegration and (self) employment”, financed by the German International Cooperation (GIZ), will support the organization of the regional event Open lecture day “Youth employment in rural areas of the Prespa Region – challenges and possibilities”. The event will be organized by the NGO AgriNet from Korca, Albania and will be held in the period 17-18 November 2017.
The event will initiate a discussion on opportunities for sustainable rural living hood, education on agriculture, engagement of youth in family farms and creation of new jobs in rural areas of the region of Prespa. Thus, this regional event will aim to present the best practices of rural entrepreneurship in the region, sharing experiences and knowledge and introduction of new technologies in the agriculture sector.
The event foresees gathering of more than 50 participants, students and young people from rural areas, NGO representatives, agricultural associations and experts in the field of agriculture.
