This cycling event was organized for the sixth time by the Municipality of Resen. This year, more than 200 participants from the country and the region cycled for 68 km to the most beautiful areas of Galicica mountain.

The aim of this event was to promote the touristic opportunities of the Prespa region in function of local and regional development and to discover its nature, though biking on the Galicica mountain, as well as strengthening the capacities of the subjects that work in the area of tourism and protection of the environment.

The specific objective of this Event was the development and promotion of mountain tourism in Prespa region, along with promotion of cultural and historical heritage through traditional local food and traditional private accommodation facilitates, as well as promotion of natural values in the context of the familiarization with the natural beauty within the Galicica National Park.

This event was part of the project “Diversification of economic activities in rural areas of Southeast Europe through value chain development (SEDRA)”, implemented by SWG and GIZ.
